A Six Word Story by Katelyn Regenscheid and Mallory Backmann
Hi there! Have you had a productive week? Mine certainly has been, although I’ve still found the time to do some really enjoyable stuff. Productive and relaxing – a winning combination!
Here are some special places on the Interwebs that have tickled my fancy this week…
- Six Word Story Every Day is a beautiful daily storytelling exploration through language and typography.
- Ever wanted some new ideas on how to tie your shoelaces?
- Jessica Hische and Russ Machmeyer have a helpful new resource for non-web designers: Don’t Fear the Internet.
- From the “why didn’t I think of that?” files, Loosecubes is a community for people who have office space to connect with those who need it.
- I love the randomness of this collection of life hacks for designers.
- CSS Lint is a great way to prune the unnecessary bits from your code.
- Designer Maria Fischer created a printed book with physical hyperlinks! Such a cool idea.
- Corbett Barr shares 21 quick actions to set up your blog for massive success. How many of them are you doing now?
- This CSS 3D ribbon generator will come in handy.
- Finally, onextrapixel has a list of life hacks for designers.
See you on the flip side!

Absolute gems as usual Tessa!
I really look forward to your Friday Favorites – I usually check it out before your email arrives.
I couldn’t understand how http://csslint.net/ works. Do you just copy and paste the code from your blog in and it automatically tidies it up?
I really wanted to reach through the screen and touch Maria Fleischer’s book – so cool!
Have a great weekend and thanks for the sharing.
Thanks for the comment, Gabrielle!
With CSS Lint, yes you copy and paste the code from your blog, but it doesn’t automatically tidy it up! It tells you which bits you need to fix, then you need to go in and fix it yourself
Have a great weekend!
don’t like the sound of that!
